Our Beliefs
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life and salvation.
We confess that we cannot save ourselves through our good works and deeds, or earn forgiveness of sins and grace, but that we can only obtain forgiveness and grace by faith through Jesus Christ, who alone is our mediator through Whom the Father is reconciled. We believe that those who believe in Christ will enjoy a happy relationship with Him during the time between their death and His second coming, and that on the last day their bodies will be raised.
Redeemer Lutheran Church is a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph. 2:8
Worship & Sacraments
About Worship
Our worship is always centered on the amazing grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Worship at Redeemer is a joyful response to God’s mercy, a wonderful blend of modern and traditional music with a variety of instruments, played by gifted musicians. It is always rooted in Scripture, and always proclaims, through the spoken and sung word, that Christ is Lord, crucified and risen for the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of everlasting life.
Through Word and Sacrament (Communion and Baptism) God comes to us; we respond with repentance, joyful praise, and hearts committed to serving the Lord. In our worship we follow the seasons of the church year, with hymns, modern praise songs, and prayers that highlight God’s promises. Every service also has a Children’s Message led by Pastor Steve.
About Communion
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a precious gift and a public confession of faith. Christ is truly present in His body and blood with the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of sins.
Communicants come with three important convictions:
First, not my good works, but the work of Jesus on the cross, who paid the penalty for all my sins, makes me holy and acceptable to God. In Him alone I trust for my salvation.
Second, I come with a repentant heart, turning daily from, my sins to live a new life of joyful obedience to the Lord.
Finally, I come with the understanding that Jesus is truly present, with His body and blood, in the bread and wine.
If these are the convictions of your heart you are welcome at the Lord’s table. For youth who have not been instructed in Holy Communion, we ask that you please refrain from receiving the bread and wine. You are welcome to come forward to receive a blessing from the Pastor.
About Baptism
Baptism is a sacred act, not invented by the church but created by a loving God who desires to give His children a great gift. Through Baptism God forgives our sins and brings us into His forever family, the Body of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is great news! “We were all baptized by one Spirit into one Body…” (1 Corinthians 12:13). More than a symbol, in Baptism God comes to us and creates the gift of saving faith; we belong to the Lord.
At Redeemer we baptize people of all ages, from infancy through adulthood, because God’s Word commands it and with it comes great blessing. If you or your family members are not baptized, please speak with Pastor Steve. Let God bless you and yours with this great gift!
